Sparkling Master Bedroom

Due to some out of this world sales at West Elm this past weekend I was able to pick up a few things for our master bedroom.  These great sales also helped solidify an accent color in this room: copper.

The curtains I was going to make (here) were nixed and these panels were picked up instead (on sale + an additional 40% off!).

The leaf pattern is in copper.

I also picked up a few other little chachkis that were severely marked down: a few of these little copper bowls and two sequin squirrels, they were just too cute to pass up at $1 a piece!

Now that I have an idea of what color I am looking for I would love to find some wall art that has a copper hue to it.  Copper is a hard color to search for and not get Folk Art or relief work that looks like a fifth grade art project.  I did find this piece on Etsy and have to admit I am a little shocked as to how much I like it.  It is just not something I would typically be attracted to but I found myself virtually visiting it a few times throughout the day.

What do you think?  Have you seen any fabulous copper colored art?

  1. I don't know if you could call it "fabulous art," but I have some small pieces of art made from copper that my husband's grandfather made. We have them set aside to decorate a little boy's room (if we have a boy) since they have kind of a theme of cars/planes/boats/etc. It's really cool looking and I love the history behind it. Anyway, good luck on your search!

  2. I think artwork from relatives or loved ones is perfect! And the pieces you have sound really cute for a little boy's room and will mean so much to him (and you and your husband)!

Chantele thanks so much for stopping by! Hope you visit again!
